Measurement Primer: Personal Version
an interactive instructional program, in the form of an e-book, for learning or reviewing core concepts in basic statistics, test norms, reliability, and validity.
Information is presented on a series of individual screens with periodic questions to check your mastery of the content and with feedback following each question. The material does not presume prior knowledge or experience with the content. It is a useful resource for college students taking measurement courses and may be especially helpful for homeschooling parents in interpreting standardized test scores.
Measurement Primer: Personal Version was developed in response to requests by users of the online instructional program. Having the program on your own computer will be especially helpful if you are using a dial-up modem or if you do not always have immediate access to the Internet/WWW.
Your personal version comes with a special browser (independent of the browser installed on your machine). Interactive files are displayed with familiar keyboard or mouse movements. The personal version mirrors the content of the online program but with significant increase in ease of moving from file to file and returning to a previous page for review. The personal version also has capability for a full-text search of all included files.
Measurement Primer: Personal Version uses a Windows-based platform (Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000). The online version is the alternative for users with other operating systems.
In the personal version, all of the HTML pages and graphics in Measurement Primer are compiled as a single executable file installed on your own computer.
